2011 TRIPLE-S SESSION REPORT #4

Wednesday saw solid SW winds and the first day of riding in the2011 Triple-S Invitational. To maximize the day, we pushed the riders meeting to 9am and hit the water right after that. With all the riders chomping at the bit to ride rails, the decision was made to run a full day of SLIDERS.

The entire REAL Slider Park was set up in The Slick including the 82ft John Wayne Cancer Foundation A-Frame, Best Roof Top, REAL Up Flat Up, REAL Kicker, Best Seat in the House and the Liquid Force Wallride. The wind peaked early from the WSW, then dipped, switched to SW, and pumped again powering up kites in the 6m – 11m range.

The video says it all. The riding level has shot through the roof again, truly showing the leading edge of our sport! HUGE PROPS to all the Triple-S riders who were out on the water KILLING IT from 11am to 9pm yesterday!!! Wednesday night saw a PACKED crowd on the deck and lawn dancing to the Chucktown Throwdown withMojo’s Sunset Café serving dinner and cold Kona Longboardlagers.
